T0 — THE DECISION IS FORMED

THE RELATIONSHIP IS NOT PRESERVED
The individual elements remain distributed across systems, documents and functions. Their relationship to the decision is often reconstructed only later.
T1 — THE DECISION IS REVIEWED
Board, Legal, Compliance, Audit, insurers, regulators or other authorized reviewers may ask what was known, what remained open and why responsibility was assumed.
Regulatory requirements already act at T0.
Depending on the Decision Space, they can determine which evidence, reviews, roles, controls or documentation must be considered before responsibility is assumed. Epistemis makes visible which requirements defined for the Decision Space are addressed, open or blocking, without replacing legal interpretation or compliance assessment.
Epistemis preserves the T0 decision state so it does not have to be reconstructed from scattered records at T1.
VALUE BEFORE THE DECISION
The first effect appears before the decision is made.
Liability-exposed decisions take time not only because they matter. They also take time because it often remains unclear which information is actually required, which rules apply and what prevents a defensible next step.

What may move forward?
BRIDGE checks which results are traceable and meet the requirements defined for transfer to the next step. It does not approve the business decision.

SEAL
Can the state be held as final?
If the requirements defined for the Decision Space are satisfied, SEAL can hold the decision state as final within Epistemis. If required conditions remain unresolved, the conclusion stays blocked.

VALUE AFTER THE DECISION
The decision state remains readable when it is reviewed later.
Epistemis does not create one universal file for every reader. An Evidence Pack is a role- and purpose-bound view of the preserved T0 decision state, so authorized internal and external reviewers can examine the basis that is relevant to their review.
Internal review
Board, Legal, Compliance, Risk and Internal Audit can read the decision basis relevant to their role without reconstructing it from scattered records.
External review
External counsel, auditors, insurers, regulators or other authorized validators can receive a purpose-bound view without gaining control over the decision or the standard.
One state, different views
Disclosure, redaction and level of detail can differ by reader, while every view refers back to the same preserved decision state.
This replaces later reconstruction with controlled review of the state that was preserved when responsibility was assumed.
