BUILD WITH US
Build the company and category behind decision-state infrastructure.
Epistemis is being built at the intersection of deterministic systems, enterprise governance, evidence, security, regulated operations and institutional go-to-market. The work requires people prepared to assume long-term responsibility for the company, the product and the institutional category — not only to contribute isolated features.
This page is not a public vacancy list and does not imply an employment offer, co-founder appointment, compensation, equity or a defined hiring process.
RESPONSIBILITY MODEL
01 COMPANY BUILDING: Company formation, operating discipline and durable ownership. 02 PRODUCT AND ARCHITECTURE: Deterministic authority, state, evidence and product boundaries. 03 ENTERPRISE IMPLEMENTATION: Decision Spaces, source boundaries, connectors and recurring operation. 04 INSTITUTIONAL CATEGORY: Reader needs, neutrality, proof language and market formation. 05 SPECIALIST CONTRIBUTION: Defined expertise without implied company or decision authority. AUTHORITY IS EXPLICITLY AGREED — NEVER IMPLIED BY INTEREST.

AUTHORITY IS EXPLICITLY AGREED — NEVER IMPLIED BY INTEREST
WHY THIS REQUIRES BUILDERS
A new infrastructure category cannot be built by adding one more feature layer.
Epistemis must hold a narrow product boundary while operating across technical, organizational and institutional systems. The challenge is not only to create software. It is to establish a company and operating model that can preserve authority, evidence and neutrality under real enterprise pressure.
- 01
CATEGORY DISCIPLINE
The problem boundary must remain narrower than the number of possible applications.
- 02
AUTHORITY DISCIPLINE
Exploration, admissibility and finality must remain separated even under commercial pressure.
- 03
ENTERPRISE REALITY
Sources, policies, roles, connectors and disclosure boundaries must work inside real organizations.
- 04
INSTITUTIONAL READABILITY
The resulting state must remain understandable to later readers without giving them control.
Building Epistemis means protecting these constraints while turning them into an operable enterprise capability.
RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Responsibility at Epistemis is broader than a job description.
The following areas describe work that must ultimately be owned. They are not current vacancies and do not imply that a role is open.
- 01
COMPANY FORMATION AND OPERATING MODEL
What must be established for Epistemis to operate as an institution-grade company?
- 02
PRODUCT AND ARCHITECTURE
Which product and authority boundaries cannot be compromised?
- 03
SECURITY, VERIFICATION AND EVIDENCE ENGINEERING
How are integrity, lineage, scope and proof verified?
- 04
LEGAL, EVIDENTIARY AND GOVERNANCE DESIGN
How should duties, disclosure, privilege and non-authority boundaries be represented?
- 05
ENTERPRISE IMPLEMENTATION AND CONNECTORS
How do customer-specific Decision Spaces become repeatable operation without becoming one-size-fits-all?
- 06
INSURANCE, RISK AND REGULATED MARKETS
How can institutional readers assess evidence without implying coverage, approval or acceptance?
- 07
INSTITUTIONAL GO-TO-MARKET AND CATEGORY FORMATION
How does a new category gain adoption without surrendering neutrality or product discipline?
A conversation starts with the responsibility someone is prepared to carry, not with a predefined title.
POSSIBLE RESPONSIBILITY MODES
Different forms of contribution carry different authority.
A conversation may explore one of the following modes. None is assumed before scope, expectations, decision rights and boundaries are agreed.
- 01
CO-FOUNDER OR FOUNDING-EXECUTIVE RESPONSIBILITY
Long-term ownership of the company and a coherent operating or domain mandate.
- 02
PRODUCT OR ENTERPRISE-INFRASTRUCTURE LEADERSHIP
Responsibility for a coherent product, architecture, security or implementation domain.
- 03
INSTITUTIONAL AND COMMERCIAL LEADERSHIP
Responsibility for enterprise implementation, insurance and risk relationships, or category adoption.
- 04
SPECIALIST CONTRIBUTION OR RESEARCH COLLABORATION
Bounded expertise for a defined question or artifact without implied company, product or decision authority.
The appropriate mode depends on the responsibility, evidence of capability, time horizon and authority that can be agreed.
FIT BOUNDARY
Fit begins with the kind of responsibility someone is prepared to carry.
The purpose of an initial conversation is to determine whether the required responsibility, capability and working horizon may align.
THIS MAY BE RELEVANT IF YOU ARE PREPARED TO
- Work through long-term ambiguity without diluting the problem boundary
- Move between category thesis, product constraints and implementation detail
- Show outcomes you have owned, not only advice you have given
- Respect deterministic authority, explicit blockers and human accountability
- Communicate across technical, enterprise and institutional audiences
- Define limits, dependencies and reasons to stop
THIS PAGE IS NOT
- A public application for a listed vacancy
- A promise of employment, contract, compensation or equity
- An invitation to claim a co-founder, executive or advisor title
- A request for unpaid speculative product or commercial work
- A route to confidential product information or customer data
- A statement about hiring timeline, location, remote work or visa support
A strong profile may still lead to no role or collaboration. That is a legitimate outcome.
A USEFUL FIRST CONVERSATION
Start with the responsibility you want to own.
A concise first message is more useful than a generic application. It should provide enough context to decide whether a conversation is warranted without sharing confidential information.
- 01
RESPONSIBILITY AREA
Which part of the company, product, implementation or category would you want to help own?
- 02
OWNERSHIP EVIDENCE
Which relevant outcomes, systems, teams or institutional problems have you previously owned?
- 03
WHY EPISTEMIS
Why does decision-state infrastructure matter to you, and why now?
- 04
RELATIONSHIP TO EXPLORE
Are you seeking long-term company responsibility, domain leadership, a scoped contribution or a research conversation?
Use general terms only. Confidential exchange, materials and access are agreed separately.
ENGAGEMENT PATH
Conversation first. Any role or collaboration is agreed separately.
An initial exchange is exploratory. It is not an application, interview or offer. Any working relationship requires separately agreed scope, authority, confidentiality, IP, compensation and decision rights.
- 01
EXPLORATORY CONVERSATION
General background, responsibility area and reason for interest. No confidential material through the public website.
- 02
MUTUAL RESPONSIBILITY FIT
Clarify what would have to be owned, how decisions would be made and where authority must remain bounded.
- 03
DEFINED WORKING HYPOTHESIS
If useful, describe a possible scope, contribution mode, constraints and evidence of capability.
- 04
SEPARATELY AGREED RELATIONSHIP — IF APPROPRIATE
Any role, collaboration, compensation, equity, confidentiality, IP and authority are agreed expressly before work begins.
- 05
NO FURTHER ENGAGEMENT
A legitimate outcome is that no role or collaboration follows.
Interest starts a conversation. Only an explicit agreement creates responsibility.
EXPECTATIONS AND NON-PROMISES
An inquiry can open a conversation. It creates no role or entitlement.
A CONVERSATION MAY CLARIFY
- A responsibility area
- A possible contribution mode
- Relevant evidence of capability
- Operating constraints and time horizon
- A possible next step or decision to stop
AN INQUIRY DOES NOT CREATE
- An application or interview process
- An employment, contractor or co-founder offer
- A title, advisory position or decision authority
- A compensation, salary or equity promise
- Confidentiality, IP protection or access rights
- An obligation for either side to proceed
